With the development of the science and technology, we find there are many ways to learning English. On-line English study is a good choice. Now, I will tell you such a website, www.iciba.com. It’s a truly an English study website. First, it is an English dictionary. You can not only look for the meanings of the words, but also get the example sentences, so you can learn how to use it. Second, you can use it to translate the sentence; there is no doubt that the translation quality leaves something to be desired. Third, you can listen the English on line, which will improve your listening skill. Fourth, you can even find a foreigner to chat with you. Buckingham palace

The Houses of Parliament & Big Ben

BIG BEN
Big Ben, one of London’s famous landmarks is found at the Houses of Parliament.
Let's clear up a common misconception first; Big Ben is not the clock tower but the thirteenth bell which strikes the hour.
The tower was begun following the fire which destroyed an old Palace in 1834. Charles Barry was given the order to rebuild the Palace, and his designs included a clock tower.

The British museum
The British Museum is one of the oldest, largest and most famous museums in the world. Founded in 1753 to promote universal understanding through arts, natural history and science, the Museum holds objects and artworks dating from the 7th millennium BC to the present day, and covers all major world cultures

Westminster Abbey
Westminster abbey is located in the west part of London.
The Abbey was constructed in the Gothic style in the eleventh century. It is the site of both coronation and burial for Kings and Queens of England.
The major attractions at the Westminster Abbey are the Lady Chape the Coronation Chair, the Poets’ Corner.. Several tombs like the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Royal Tombs etc. are also worth seeing.
Other famouse people in English history, including Darwin, Newton, Kipling, Dickens, Chaucer and Pitt the Younger are also buried at the Abbey alongside most of England’s monarchs since 1066.

The London Eye
The world’s largest observation wheel is 135 metres high. It provides a 30-minute, slow-moving 'flight' over London. It is designed to reflect the elements of air, water, earth and time . Each high-tech capsule can contain up to 25 people. The attraction has the capacity to handle 1,500 visitors every hour

Hyde Park
Hyde Park is the largest of London's Royal Park, which covers 1.6 million square meters. Princess Diana Memorial Fountain is built in the south-western corner of Hyde Park. In the north part of the Hyde Park is the famous Speaker's Corner.
There are Large open-air concerts every summer here in Hyde Park

Uh, he's a skinny guy with very bad health. He's allowed to live at home because his drug using, dog abusing mother is stupid and just let's him do whatever. So he get's spoiled complains all the time about things, is 20 years old and just Play World of Warcraft until he's tired enough to sleep. Rinse repeat.

Now, I don't care about WoW and I've played it and still do on occasion. But how he plays it for that long and consistantly, doing the same dungeons over and over again. It's not like the game has good gameplay or anything either, you click a few things. I JUS DUN GEDDIT!

The author places emphasis on the Earth Charter by identifying it as an effective tool in the expression and construction of a global civic culture and civil society. Birch creates a convincing argument by utilizing many different principles of the Earth Charter and other topic and theories throughout the book.

This book, while providing information and strategies for students to become effective agents of change, is not, however, a dry recital of overly complex theories and ideas; it is an interesting and motivating resource that uses the Earth Charter to help empower English language student around the world.
