Deforestation is a leading cause of the "greenhouse effect," leading to global warming and the melting of polar ice, which in turn causes sea levels to rise. The increase in carbon dioxide and acid rain results in the death of more trees, exacerbating the problem. Water pollution is similarly severe, with industrial and domestic waste being dumped directly into rivers, lakes, and oceans, killing marine life and damaging ecosystems. This harms the environment, making it more vulnerable, and endangers wildlife, leading to health issues for humans.
