的学习情况,结果发现,不少中小学生在其英语课本
里的单词下面写了汉语拼音或汉字来帮助读音,在他
们看来,“借用”汉语拼音或汉字来读英语,读起来有
点像总比开不了口要强。在检查大学生预习英语课
文情况时,经常发现他们在生词下面写的是汉字,而
不是该词的英文释义。在给高年级英专的学生授课
时,对于比较难的句子,在用英文解释以后,他们还期
待着翻译。
处于无自然的目的语环境中的外语学习者,学习
外语时一般采取的是这种翻译式。他们认为,如果不
经过把所学的外语用母语“复制”下来这种语码转移
的翻译过程,就总觉得所学的知识不够牢靠(孙晓青,
2002)。当他们要用外语表达思想时,也免不了首先
用母语构思。笔者目睹了英专的毕业论文情况,学校
明文规定论文要用英文写,可有的学生先交来的是用

讲,也有积极的一面,尽管行文有错、不地道,但它使
外语问题较多、外语知识不足的学习者与他人的思想
交流成为可能。
