In your last e-mail, you showed great interest in our National Stadium--the Bird's Nest. Now I'd like to introduce it to you.
The National Stadium possesses a construction area of 580,000 square meters and can accomdate over 90,000 spectators. The construction of the Stadium began in December of 2003 and finished in 2007. It has got a nick name the Bird's Nest because of its appearance which looks like a bird's nest constructed with tree branches. It will be used to hold soccer games and track and field events during the Olympic Games. As remarked by Mr. Kofi Annan, the Bird's Nest will surely become an incredible landmark building in the history of Olympic Games.
