As we can see, the child is holding his book upside down and pretending to give whole of his attention to study. Maybe he is afraid of his father and means to pretend to learn until twelve o'clock. Certainly, the boy can hardly learn anything efficiently in this way. What is more, the father may find the unsatisfying result sooner or later.

In my ponit of view, the picture demonstrates a poor educational mathod of some parents nowadays. They intend to supervise their children's learning and help them achieve a more satisfying result. However, reality does not accord with their hopes. This method turns out to be a failure: the children often tend to be more absent-minded and even anxious during their learning under their parents' supervision. That is to say, the kind of supervision is just a waste of time. Neither the child or the parent is able to harvest anything. In essence, it shows a lack of trust and confidence between children and their parents. If parents can give more trust to their children and let them learn on their own, the result will be much more satisfying probably.
