Men and Women Can never Be Equal

When I saw the title, what I thought about first is how the man and woman came to this world. According to the Bible, god created the woman using a rib from the man, so the woman is part of the man. I think this is a hidden reason for the inequality between man and woman.

The inequality between man and woman may date back to the day when human first learned to walk using their feet. If I do not misremember, in ancient times, matriarchal society occupied a very long period of time because the woman can give birth to a child-they are capable of prolonging the generation. The man adored the woman blindly. This produced the tribes which were managed by the woman! As time went by, the most important task became how to survive. Men used their robust body to hunt animals for food and then got higher position in the society. Gradually, they replaced the women completely.

In China, there are a lot of vocabularies to describe the male: "nan", "yang", "xiong", "fu" , "gong", "long" etc. And for the female: "nv", "yin", "ci", "qi", "mu", "feng". From the perspective of Chinese, man stands for strength and power while woman stands for gentleness and beauty. There is an old saying in China: Women are made of water and they are born to be loved. However, vocabularies which are used in daily life all starts with the male: "gongmu", "nannv", "fuqi" and so on. There are also some other sayings in China: "A woman follows her husband no matter what his lot is " and "The man sings, the wife follows - domestic harmony" .All of these are to emphasize the dominant place of man in a family. A woman "is at home obeying the father, then get married listening to the husband, complies to the son after husband died ". She needs to belong to her husband in all her life, obeying to the male sex, being controlled by the man.
