I have never noticed that how much I love my country until I left there. 10 years later after I lived overseas, my heart has never changed. I even feel much closer than ever. For so many times, I was asked "are you an Asian?" Well, I know I look like an Asian and China is one of the Asian countries. However, this is not enough. I want people to understand I am proud of my country. So here is my answer "No, but I am a Chinese."

It is actually not that easy to say this. I don’t know where I gain a great deal of strength to fight for those untrue reports or unfairness. It was the most proud thing I did for my motherland that I protested an Indian professor’s comment on China. I told him in his face that I could not accept his statement about my country. The sources which his information was based on were unreliable. And I am a Chinese. I knew more and the real fact happened in China. If he did not consider my opinions and gave another explanation in class, I would discuss this issue with the dean. In the end, I won his apology.

I lost control that day. The President of United States, Barak Obama was giving a speech on TV as usual. It was boring and tedious. But when I heard he said "China is a powerful country....” at that moment, I felt tears in my eyes. I could not help myself crying, merely because of that one word. Everybody has to admit that China is strong and influential. The world needs to listen to China’s voice. I am always touched by every success China has made. I feel the deepest happiness from the bottom of my heart.

No matter where I am, there always are 1.3 billion people standing behind me. I will be able to find brothers and sisters anywhere I go. The endless love to you, my dear homeland, is the key to encourage me to face all of the difficulties and challenges. Bless you my motherland, bless you my beloved China.
