Introduction
This Information Fact Sheet defines the electronic reporting requirements,
submission requirements, security model and implementation process of VCL for
Turnover information which all Retailers are expected to follow under the Grant for
their Shops.
Reporting Requirements
General Submission Guidelines
1. Retailer is responsible for electronically reporting total Turnover for each day that
the Grant is in effect.
2. Turnover must be reported as a single daily figure per SHOP i.e. the combined
total of all POS terminals, inclusive of all taxes.
3. All Turnovers must be reported in MOP currency.
4. On days of non-operation (holiday, scheduled closings) etc, Turnover must be
reported as $0.00 for the day.
5. All Retailers will be granted a submission grace period till 4:00 am the following
day. Example: For close of business Feb 5th, the Retailer will have until 4:00am
Feb 6th to perform End of Day Closing procedures and submit total Turnover (for
Feb 5th) to Mall Management.
6. The first submission for any given day will be accepted as the actual turnover
figure for the day. Additional submissions will be ignored. In case of error, you
are responsible for contacting Mall Management to notify them of any updates to
the reported turnover figure.
Submission Process
1. Retailer is responsible for creating the daily submission file and transferring it to
the VPIS server over the public Internet.
2. Every Retailer will be assigned a unique account login and account password,
which will be provided by Mall Management upon enrollment.
3. Security of the data is implemented by the use of SSL (Secure Socket Layer). If
the retailer wants to protect their data security, the retailer is responsible for using
FTPS or HTTPS (or VPIS Agent) for data transport.
