I am glad to receive your letter. Talking about the importance of economy and environment, I think the latter one should be more important.

Just imagine, there is a city with many skyscrapers, with strong economic power. However, the air is terrible with few green lands. Would you like to live in such a city? Environmental protection is really important because it is related to the place where we live now and in the future.

Furthermore, economy can be re-developed even if it has suffered from financial crisis. But environment can be hardly repaired once it is destroyed. That’s why the developed countries are all devoting themselves to protect the environment. What we need for life is abundant bank notes but a happy life. I am afraid we can’t have a happy life without a good living environment.
