With the increasing focus on economy, more and more people are dedicate themselve into bussiness and of course university students are included. It is not new that university students are doing side-business while they are still in school to make some money and become financially independent. The most common form of the campus business is e-commerce; it is also known as Taobao in China. Doing e-commerce require very little start-up fee, and also has relatively low risks. There's no investment on the actual store space or large amount of inventory. All you need is a web page, and of course your creative mind to publicize your products. The simpleness and effectiveness of e-commerce makes it dominate the campus business and attracts more and more students to join this business. It is very clear that doing business online benefits university students in various ways. It gives students a taste of the real society and let them know how the world actually work. In the process of dealing with people in different social context, students will gain skills such as effective communication, coping stress, accepting rejection, and time management. I believe for those students who have experienced this are more likely to be more mature than the rest of them. Doing business and interacting with people also give students some fresh perspective to their studies; and help them think based on real life experience and contribute to acdemic success. Nevertheless, campus business can also do harm on students. In spite of the economic gain, e-commerce will take time to manage and lead to reduce of study and socilizing time. There is no need to elaborate the significance of academic achievement, and the least thing we want to see is dorping grades becasue of the side-business. Moreover, the increase of wealth will distruct some students from their usual pathway and possibley get them involved in sometihing negative or even dangerous. However, there is no absolute good or bad for anything. For campus busines or any other extracurricular, it will always be beneficial and challenge for university students. In this world that is full of attemptations, what we can do is keep trying and have clear judgemnt.
