摘要
A Method for balancing traffic load between eNBs operating in a same RAT and in a same freqency band in a Long Term Evolution (LTE) wireless network. The LTE wireless network including a plurality of eNBs providing telecommunication services to a plurality of user equipments (UEs), said plurality of eNBs being located in a plurality of different cell layers in the LTE wireless network, the method controlling the position of at least one UE and keeping a UE position data record. In the method, at least one HSS indicates to at least one MME the preferred cell layer to attend said at least one UE said at least one MME provides a parameter to at least one eNB taking into account at least said indicated preferred cell layer and said at least one eNB uses said provided parameter for taking handover and reselection decisions between said plurality of eNBs .
