英语作文题目:我为什么选择上大学,100-150左右

(1)When we consider why we should attend universities,different people have different ideas.In some students' eyes,studying in universities means a bright future after graduation.They think they are bound to find good jobs with a good college education.

However,life in the colleges and the jobs that they can find in the future are usually somewhat disappointing.Especially under the severe competition of today's society,it is not very easy for a college graduate to find a satisfying job.

As far as I am concerned,universities can provide good study opportunities and essential facilities for those who want to acquire knowledge for the construction of our country and this is the reason why I attend universities.

(2)Recently, newspapers confirm that with the increasing number of recruiting, more and more people go into university for further education after senior high school, which shows that there is a growing awareness of the importance of attending university for people during this age. The fact is that some of them expect to get new experiences from life on campus, some want to take an undergraduate course for increased knowledge, while others require high-flying improvements from their curriculums for career preparations.

First of all, for those who aim to get bachelor's degrees, universities provide them with integrative system for education. On one side, universities, equipped with proper establishments for studying and practicing, such as teaching buildings/ libraries and laboratories, allow undergraduates to attain large quantities of knowledge either on general or specialism. On the other side, teachers on campus can not only give responsible guidance to students with their courses, say, show them some directions to chose reading materials, but also help them solve various kinds of problems they meet during their school work on time. What’s more, almost all the teachers working in universities hold doctor’s degrees, which make great contributions to assure teaching qualities.

Besides, going into university means possessing an opportunity to attend advanced studies, which potentially provide the avenue to a good vocation after graduation. A small example concerning my own experience can give some light to this point. My major is geoscience, a bachelor’s in geoscience is the generally accepted educational requirement for most entry-level earth-science jobs. In a typical four-year geoscience program, the first two years are spent studying basic sciences: mathematics, physics, chemistry and introductory geoscience, and the humanities, social sciences, and English. The last two years are devoted to specialized geoscience courses, from which we take the advantages of accumulating well-knit knowledge in this field. So, when have an interview during job-seeking, I can inform what I have mastered to the interviewer, and, I believe, it should surly make me prior to my cotemporary who did not attend university.

Anther point to support the idea that life on campus is desirable is that it can brings us colorful experiences, which would not be gained anywhere else. I am wholeheartedly in favor of the viewpoint that school life is absolutely separate with a social one. Here we meet with schoolmates from different areas of China, communicating with each other interesting stuffs about our own hometowns, to know more about the whole country, for example, it is difficult for me to imagine how delicious the icy watermelons, which are stored in cabins from summer till mid-winter, should be until one of my room-mates, who come from Mongolia, told me that eating icy watermelons around a hot ingle during the spring festivals is so common in her hometown. At the same time, we would learn the spirit of cooperation, when we have experiments together in laboratories, or give large-scale parties for school, such as a long-distance running match.

From all the above, we could easily come to the conclusion that chasing for an admittance to university is indeed a nice option, and we can validate that attending university should bring us both considerable knowledge and highly impressed life experiences, the importance of which to our whole life can never be exaggerated.

3)William Jennings Bryan once said,"Desitiny is not a matter of chance,it is a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for;it iss a thing to be achieved."For me,entering the university gave me the right to iimprove my lot.But,why did i choose to attend university?I had always claimed that i wanted to attend college,but I never truly knew why in my highschool.Nevertheless,after two years' campus life,I have finally reached the conclusion that i have come to university for many reasons.

Before I put it into words,i'd better think about it ,so i can make it clear.okay,here we are.

The main reason is to receive further education and to know more about the world.None would improve your lot if you yourself did not;
Next,University could give me free rein to exploit my potentialities... i want to beccome a learned and versatile person;
Moreover,i didn't want to step into society that early.
ANother reason:i would like to go out to enjoy the fresh circumstances,to broaden my horizon,and to make more friends...
Finally:the all-out support form my dear parents so i can not let them down.

Now roaming on the campus with breeze wafting the fresh scen of flowers,i smile at the world.I finally know why i came to university----to see,to learn,to conquer.
