As we all know, a terrible earthquake happened in Haiti on January 13,2010 Beijing time, in which tens of thousands of people were injured or killed, including eight Chinese peace-keepers. If we know some common knowledge of surviving an earthquake, we can save our lives. The following are my tips when you come across an earthquake： If you are outdoors, just lie on the ground away from buildings, and do not have to run around, because this can throw yourself down. And never try to go back into the building. The earthquake may put any buildings to the ground. If you are indoors, try to go outside. But if you don't have enough time, staying inside is possibly safer. Hide yourself under the table or other firm furniture, which not only provides the protection to you, but also a big breath space.
