As the saying goes, “A friend in need is a friend indeed”. Friends play a
very essential role in our daily life. However, how to make goods friends is a
problem for most of us. As for me, I have three principles to choose friends.

In the first place, good friends should have their own principles. We should
take into account the fact that people who insist on their principles have high
quality. Therefore, it is worth making friends with them.

Then, I want to point out that good friends should be full of trust. This kind
of person has a pure heart, so we can communicate with each other by heart.

Finally, active friends are just like beautiful sunshine. They can
light up our blue mood, drive away the dark clouds and give us courage.

Friends who have above three characteristics will be great wealth for
us.

Currently, self-confidence has become the order of our life, which improves
the theory that nothing is more valuable than self-confidence.

It is obvious that self-confidence means trust in one’s ability. If we are
full of self-confidence, we’ll have creative power to live and work, helping us
success or dreams come true. On the contrary, if we have no confidence in
ourselves, there will be little possibilities for us to win. We’ll always face
failure.

My home town is in the center of Xuzhou which was a quiet and beautiful
place. In the past, there were many animals. They were lovely and nice. The air
was fresh and there were many birds fly in the sky.
我的家乡在徐州，是一个安静而美丽的地方中心。在过去，有许多动物。他们是可爱的，漂亮的。空气清新，有许多鸟在天空飞翔。
Over the past years, it has changed a lot. At the present, it becomes a
modern town and develops a lot. Now, the people in Xuzhou are richer than
before, so most of people go to work by bus or by underground. Sometimes, they
also drive their private cars to work. Many people sell out their old houses and
move into new flats.

In some ways, the development has brought some good things, but it has also
causes much environment pollution. I think we should take action to reduce the
pollution.

5.小心网络信息 Be Cautious to the Information on the Internet
Recently, Internet is more and more popular among people; meanwhile people
are increasingly cheated by the information on it. So, can we trust the
information that possibly is not very real? There is no denying that we must be
careful about the Internet.
最近互联网越来越受欢迎；同时，越来越多的人被它上面的信息欺骗。因此，我们真的可以相信那些可能不真实的信息吗？不可否认的是，我们必须要小心对互联网。
First, we must carefully distinguish the information between right and wrong.
Although it’s difficult, we also have to make it. We can search specific
information from database of the government. Secondly, once connected to money,
we must be cautious about it. Thirdly, when we look for jobs from Internet, if
they ask us for money, we can’t listen to them or give them money. It is a trick
to a great extent. But some information is real and we can believe it.

Life is an endless voyage, as there's no destination in our life. Life is
also very fickle, since anything may happen in our life. We may be successful or
defeated at any time.

Sometimes, I have the feeling that I was successful, but that happiest time
has already passed away. Sometimes, I feel as if I went to the end of my life,
but after a long tour, I find I have a long way to go. I always miss myself in
this endless road and I feel very lonely. But in this loneliness, there's
nothing to fear. So I have learned to grow up. I have learned to hold back my
tears. I have learned to smile to others.

if we work hard, some miracles will happen. Nothing good will happen without our
hard work.

What's more, when we are unhappy, we can think about our dreams, so that we
will be more enthusiastic. When we are defeated, we should stand up and say,"

Sometimes, when I am listening to the teacher, I can’t help thinking that if I were a teacher, what I would do. If I were a teacher, I would walk into the classroom with a warm smile very day. I know teacher’s mood have great impact on student, especially their enthusiasm towards study. If I were a teacher, I wouldn’t leave students much homework. Too much homework may have negative impact on students, even resisting going to school. Besides, I want them have some spare time to do what they want. If I were a teacher, I wouldn’t have a preference for the high score students. On the contrary, I would pay more attention to the relatively poor students. I think they need more help and encouragement. If I were a teacher, I wanted to try my best to be a friend of my students. In spare time, we can talk to each other or join some activities together. I don’t act as a serious teacher that students are afraid of. I think a teacher like friend would be much more helpful to students.

The way I see it, good health is much better than a lot of wealth. No matter
how much money we have, we’ll not feel happy at all if we are in poor health. In
order to be healthy, we must keep a positive attitude and have a good living
habit.
在我看来，健康比财富更重要。如果不健康，不管有多少钱，我们都不会快乐。为了保持健康，我们必须要保持积极的态度，形成良好的生活习惯。
Apart from good health, we must be diligent at work. As long as we work hard,
we cannot just make a good living, but enrich our minds.

Additionally, we ought to give our helpful hands to others when they are in
need. While helping others, we can own a good fame as well as get more social

7 My hobbies
A hobby can be almost anything a person likes to do in his spare time. Hobbyists raise pets, build model ships, weave bas-kets, or carve soap figures and so on. In a word, hobbies offer en-joyment, friendship, knowledge and relaxation.
Then, what is my hobby? Well, what I like most is singing. I began to sing songs when I was very young. My uncle was studying in a college then, so he could sing lots of songs, and he taught me several songs. I showed great interests in the music then, for they were pleasing to ears and easy to sing. My uncle told me they were called pop songs.
When I grew up, my music teacher found that I had a good voice, so she sent me to the Children's Palace to study vocal mu-sic. From then on, I began my vocal music training. And then I knew there were several kinds of songs, like folk songs, pop songs and so on. What I had learned most was the songs for children. They were all simple ones but our teacher trained us very strictly. We practiced how to produce sound and how to make our expres-sion more natural and more pleasing. Those simple training didn't reduce my interest in singing at all and I won awards one after another in several kinds of competition. Actually I began to make up a dream of becoming a famous singer in the future.
As time went by, I came to realize that my dream wouldn't come true for there were strict conditions of being a singer. But I still took singing as my hobby since I found in music the interests which were lost in the exams. When I put all my emotion into singing a song, it gave me very good and very pleasant feelings, and a good chance to relax. Besides, it was a good way to learn things that couldn't be easily found in life.
Now as I'm saying goodbye to my childhood my voice has changed into a deep male voice, and therefore I can sing a lot of songs written for adults. I am often deeply moved, by the melody or by what the song writers said. I can feel that these words come from the bottom of their hearts: "All my best memories come back clearly to me. Some can even make me cry, just like before. It's yesterday once more. ""Heal the world, make it a place, for you and for me and the entire human race". I love singing, and the most warm and fragrant thing in life, I assume, is sitting in the sunshine, listening-to the walkman and singing together with the singer.
