从小，我就希望能一睹大海的风采。今年，终于亲眼目睹了大海的美丽景色。

Whatever its underlying reasons, there is no doubt that much of the pollution caused could becontrolled if only companies, individuals and governments would make more efforts. In the home there is an obvious need to control litter and waste. Foodcomes wrapped up three or four times in packages that all have to be disposedof; drinks are increasingly sold in bottles or tins which cannot be reused.This not only causes a litter problem, but also is a great waste of resources,in terms of glass, metals and paper. Advertising has helped this process by persuading many of us not only to buy things we neither want nor need, but also to throw away much of what we buy.

What Life Means to Me
For me, life is so simple that there is no need to bother thinking hard about the exact meaning of life. I believe life is what we are born with and live with, to some extent, as Hegel's idea" what is rational is actual and what is actual is rational".
I am a person like the majority of the world. Although I have not made great achievements or become a heroine who would change the world, I enjoy my present life. I think life means itself. It seems to be quiet. As a result, many people complain their life is boring and meaningless. However, life does have its ups and downs, its peaks and its valleys. Good times alternate with bad. I have learned not to be overjoyed when good things happen to me or fall into deep sorrow when in misfortunes. In no way is life meaningless. It depends on whether the meaning can be found.
On the other hand, life means getting along with family members, friends, or other people around me. I shall be grateful to those who love me, those who support me, and even those who dislike me, for all of them help me to grow up and to appreciate and cherish my life. Moreover, life means pursuing my dream. Some say it is your dream not you clock that wakes you up everyday. That is the truth. Dream or goal gives me the pressure and motivation and a reason why I have to live life in this way. It can be challenging or simple, long term or short term. Anyway, how can I stop since the things I need to do have not been done?
In summary, life means enjoying life from different aspects and making all my experience worthwhile.

Smile from the bottom of our hearts
after reading” the weakness of human nature” by Mr.carnegie, I benefited a great deal from it. But what impressed me most is the article entitled “don’t forget to show your smile”there has been a story to enlighten me.
The hero of the story , a bad-tempered man once accepted Mr.carnegie’s suggustion that he should experience smile. So he showed his loving smile to his wife, which brought him double rewards of care and love from her.
Inspired by his wife’s strong reaction, he kept on carrying out his policy of smiling in his social communication anf work . it was his attractive smile that created great power to help him to win good interpersonal relationship and abundant wealth.he became a great success.
From the story , I have got the hang of what Mr.carnegie really meant-it is certain that life is someyhing filled with difficulty, challenge, sorrow and even cheat. But what we should persist is that we ought to make efforts to overcome them optimistically. So, keeping smiling is truely a piece of good advice that we should take without hesitation . nevertheless, from the brilliant example of successful smile, I can also comprehend that fake and weak smile is of no use.
