Everyone talks about the "five" senses of man. And it is true that we get the ingformation abour the outside world from our senses of sight, hearing, smell, touch and taste.Resrarchers tell us that the sense of sight gives up to 80% of what we know about the world outside our bodies, while the other senses, the hearing, the smell, the touch, and the taste , bring into our brains informationg about the other 20% of what is happening. But there are two other senses that we can't get along without which we would act like a drunken man, and the kinesthetic(肌肉运动知觉的)sense, which gives us our ideas about our own motion.

An oral English test will be added to the city's high school admission exam for the first tine in 2009 to improve local studengt's foreign languge skills, the Shanghai Education Commission said a few months ago.
The test, which is scheduled to be held at the beginning of each April, will include both a listening ang speaking part for graduating Grade Nine students.
Students will be evaluated by grades-such as A,B,C orD-rather than actual scores on the oral test.Test results are expected to coount together with paper test scores as one of the key admission standards.
But details of the content of the test and how it will affect high school admission were not told .
A commission vice director who oversees elementary education said the oral test was designed to improve English education ang to provide a more objective way of judging students'skills.
We should make students understand taht good paper knowledge doesn'tnecessarily mea good practical skills, said the officer.
