are three reasons for doing so.
First, English is the most widely used language around the whole
world. Studying this language can help us to have a better communication with
people outside China.
Second, studying a new language is an extremely challenging
process, in which students' ability can be developed. By through memorizing
complex vocabulary, understanding grammar rules, and developing oral
comprehension ability, students' self-esteem is greatly promoted, which will
help them to compete better in the future.
Third, mastering English can help students to have better sources.
When a student know English well, it means that he or she has more opportunities
to find resources to achieve certain goals, such as in doing school works and
in researching scientific project.
Due to three reasons above, high school students should study English, which help them success in the further competition.
