　　OK, lets take this out of a professional level sport and put it into an adult league situation. you have a team that is ok and having fun...then the team does pretty good. the next year the team replaces a player that moved with a better player and the team does better the 2nd year and fun is still in the game.. then the manager of the team replaces 3 pretty good players with ringers. they do better but to the manager 2nd is the 1st looser. the fun is gone, the ringers don't stick around to party afterward, 3 people got kicked off a team just for the win. the manager lost at least 1 friend and wont win anyway. winning isn't everything.

　　I'm a pretty good athlete in several different sports. I'd rather have fun for1 day than compete for many days. I am who and what i am no matter how important winning has become...even if i'm good enough to be the winner.(think bode miller here)
