(1)把单词的音、形、义结合起来,利用读音规则“听音写形”记忆单词。

(2)利用合成、派生、转化构词法规则记忆单词,扩大词汇量。

(3)记单词时要眼看、口念、耳听、脑记且要动手,运动记忆,五官并用。

(4)利用最佳时刻记忆法,强化单词记忆。而多数人最佳记忆时间为早、晚,即每天的两端时间。

(5)运用形—义、音—形联想记忆法记单词。例如aural(听觉的)和oral(口头的)这两个单词音同、形同、义同很难区分,我们就可以这样记忆:把aural的第一个字母a想象成“耳朵”的形状,把oral的第一字母o想象成张大的嘴巴的形状,这样记忆就又清晰又容易了。例如:tomb的读音为[tu:m],很象“土墓”,进而联想出“坟墓”的含义。

(6)利用分类归纳法记单词。例如将读音相同但形、义不同flower及flour放在一起对比记忆。

(7)利用同义词、反义词、同族词等对比联想记忆法记单词。还可以运用阅读记忆法,在上下文中复习旧单词,学习新单词。

(8)制作生词小卡片,随身携带,采取零打碎敲、游击战方式记忆单词。

(9)运用循环记忆法,强化单词记忆,战胜遗忘。

当然,英语学习中要记忆的不仅是单词,还有语法、句法等。我们这里是以记忆单词为例来阐述记忆策略,希望大家能对记忆策略有所了解。
