Step 1:

Now here is an integral part of installing Myriad Islands. You can just tick all boxes and point at your directory and select install (this would install all packages included in this package). However I would not recommend this, for some reason it can have effects on game play sometimes. Its your decision though using the limit adjuster (Step 5.) can stop crashing problems it seems.

I would recommend ONLY installing the blank land first (you must install the base pack first always) and then testing it in-game drive around for about 5-10 minutes to see if all is working fine. You can then go on to add extra lots, it should work fine!

Make sure you do NOT try and install the base pack (1st tick box) more than once, or any lot in-fact as the BWinstaller will fail and your Myriad copy will not work!

Once the BWInstaller has run you can play Myriad Islands with hopefully no problems at all, and have fun exploring. Remember the lots in this package are the ones that are final and run with no or very few problems, other lots (BETA releases, ALPHA releases) can be found at our forum. The link is at the top of the page.

Step 3:

I included Steve-M's VC Limit Adjuster in this package, it was copied to the tools directory where you install Myriad from. How do you use the tool then?

Double click on the VC limit adjuster icon and open up your gta-vc.exe. The one where your Myriad Islands modification is installed to. You will see a complicated looking screen. Change areas to the below given by Steve-M:

Streaming memory: 90 MB
Buildings: 1500
Dummies: 1500

If you are unable to edit your gta-vc.exe this is maybe because its status is set to read-only. Right mouse click on the gta-vc.exe and go down to properties then make sure Read-Only is NOT selected. You should be able to edit it fine then.
