However, in Song Dynasty, such consort clan's interference had not be surfaced as the ruler made a specific effort in controlling and suppressing such incident. In this article, we shall start from the interference by consort clan in Song dynasty and look into politics, economics, hierarchy, and daily life to analyse the reasons of subsiding of consort clan power in the throne. As we know, the diminishing of power shown in the family group(royal), and the increased of centralised controlled would explain why the fading power of consort clan. And from this article, it comes from the Song ruler adapted the control policy of consort clan in the areas of official system, economics and related activities of the clans, as such, their status had dropped since then.
